Spring will be here soon!!
Don't let the winter weather get you down... in only a few shorts weeks the outdoor tennis season will be starting and I'm excited!
I had some very slight pricing changes for the 2010 season which are on the website now but I did manage to keep the very popular "group" rate the same, so I hope that helps.
I'm looking forward to working with each one of you and March will be here before you know it!

Dan's Interview with Roger Federer
Just added this one to the SportsLeader Spotlight archives (see left hand column of the website and click on SportsLeader audio). I compiled this from the interviews I did with Roger in Cincinnati the last two years. Hope you enjoy it!
The Western-Southern Tennis Tournament will be starting next Monday (8/17) in Mason, Ohio (Northern Cincinnati next to Kings Island). It's consistently rated the most fan friendly stop on the ATP Tour. Take a day off work and go see the top pros at their very best. Besides Federer, Nadal, Roddick, Murray, Djokovic and the Bryan Brothers will all be playing! I will be there Tuesday and Wednesday so call me if you make it there.

Wimbledon Champ has Connection to Copperfield!
You know that Rafa Nadal beat Roger Federer in the Men’s Final at Wimbledon but did you know that Grigor Dimitrov (from Bulgaria) who won the Boys Wimbledon Title has a connection to Copperfield? Yes, he practiced at Copperfield prior to his appearance at the ITF Tournament last September in Lexington and took a few pointers from me… read on…
I've been asked if I worked with Grigor on his game while here in the Bluegrass. Well, the answer is yes! I gave Grigor a ride back to his housing (he stayed with the Yates family in Copperfield) after one of his matches and I asked if he would like to do anything... He said, "Yes! Mr. Burch, would you show me how they play baseball?" Did you know that after yours truly gave him proper instruction, he was succesfully hitting the long ball! He, along with ITF girls player Tanya Raykova, also from Bulgaria, and my son Joe took turns hitting baseball against my wicked curve at Waverly Park. Grigor could certainly hit the ball after a few quick pointers but I think he’ll stick to tennis… After winning this years Wimbledon I believe that was a wise choice! ;)
